Once again our FCC Sniffer has pulled through and advised us that the FCC approved the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced drone today, clearing it for sale in the United States. We love it when a new DJI rumor lands in our lap!
Before our post last week, when DJI accidentally uploaded a P4A sensor calibration video, no one knew a Phantom 4 Advanced was even in the works.
Our feature image, above, showing the very first look at the new DJI drone also keeps us guessing on what features may have evolved and improved since the Phantom 4 Pro.
The new Phantom 4 Advanced drone has model #: WM332A and like previous versions operates in the 2.4 Ghz range with 8 channels and two antennae generating 1.6dBi gain.
Power supply is a 15.2V lithium ion Battery, likely identical to all of the other Phantom 4 series drones with 5870mAh of stored power.
Will the P4A drone be released at NAB2017 in Las Vegas later this month? DJI has already sent out their invitations to the “big” announcement on Sunday April 23, 2017 at the Wynn Hotel in Vegas.
With this new information on the soon-to-be-released P4A we may just have to do a serious edit to our list of potential DJI announcements at NAB!
Based on the confidentiality conditions of the application we can guess that the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced will be released sometime before October 2017.
